Bridge Nine’s LEMURIA are elated to debut their new video for the song “Pleaser” today on BrooklynVegan.com.
Directed by Thom Glunt (Fireworks, Anti-Flag), this is a conceptual and interpretive video, as many of Glunt’s videos are.  The director commented, “I feel this video is one of the most deceiving in my body of work. On the surface it seems so cute, playful and sweet but the overall tone is saddening.  I hope that people can walk away still feeling good because the video is about a boy illustrating his love for his mother even if his actions are in vain. We had a great time making this video, the cast and crew got to play with a kid all day and see toys from their childhood in a different light. My inspiration for the video came from the feelings of disappointment I had when I received some of these toys as a child and the idea of “what if they had actually worked like they were advertised?”.   Check the “Pleaser” video out now here.

Lemuria spent the last year touring hard on their latest album Pebble, which hit stores in January of 2011. Over the course of the year, Lemuria toured all over the world, including the US, Canada, Europe, the UK, and even Russia. The band has kicked 2012 off with a series of new videos (“Wise People”, directed by Paul Cummings and now “Pleaser”, by Thom Glunt) and a special 7inch, titled Varoom Allure, for Record Store Day this April.
